Game Cookery Courses and Recipes
At the end of the season have you ever wondered what you should do with your freezer full of game?

Introduction
At WhereWiseMenShoot we are firm believers in eating what we have killed, as a result of this we have teamed up with Mike Robinson of the Pot Kiln, Harwood Arms and the Mike Robinson game and cookery school. Home cooked game is highly understated and has many benefits: Higher quality of life for the animals involved, healthy and most importantly in the modern day and age it is sustainable. Well cooked game provides superior taste and remarkable value for money.
Mike and the Game Cookery School
Mikes passion for the outdoor life has inspired him to become one of the leading game chefs. When he is not working in the kitchen he can regularly be found stalking the estates of the Home Counties for venison to keep the restaurant in steady supply. He also writes a popular monthly article on cooking in The Field magazine.
Part of Mikes outfit is the Game and Wild food cookery school, which specialises in day courses looking at all aspects of wild and game cookery. At WhereWiseMenShoot we have negotiated a 10% discount on any bookings we take at the Game and Cookery School. These courses make for a great day out during the off season or a great alternative to standing in a wet cold field for the non-shooting members of the party.
The Location
The Cookery School is located just 40 minutes from Central London off Junction 12 of the M4 making this an ideal day trip.
The full Venison Cooking Course
The full Venison starts with a trip to the local deer park, where a deer will be humanly dispatched before being field dressed. Returning to the Cookery School a demonstration will be shown on how to butcher a carcass before everyone gets a chance to help cook some of the delicious recipes on offer. Making this a excellent follow up to our stalking course.
